Davenport Sneak Peaks

I went to Davenport, Iowa forever ago (the end of January) and have been trying to get these pictures done for my friends. We've been having some big computer issues and so it's been very frustrating and taking a lot longer than it should. Sorry gals, but I promise I'm workin' on it. Here are just a few to wet your appetite (aren't these 2 babes the cutest??).

I love all those pics. I love the big blue eyes, and the one of Michelle's baby sleeping. Adorable. So, what's up with your computer?

Thanks, they were both fun to shoot. I've never shot with the white backdrop before, and it's been difficult with the lighting and not blowing out all the whites when I edit, but I'm learning.

Our desktop computer is old and has too much stuff on it, so anytime I try to edit a picture it takes forever and my photoshop ends up closing out on me. The laptop that mom and dad are letting me borrow is great, except that the coloring on it is really weird and ends up making all my pictures look funky. I have to re-edit them on the desktop and it's just a long, frustrating process. Basically, we need to figure out a way to fix the coloring on the laptop or get a new desktop.

Ashleigh... I love the ones with the white background. The one of the little girl close up. LOVE IT! You are getting really good!

Very cute! My favorite is the first one (the little is so cute, and so is the little chair). How did you light these? Was there a lot of natural light available?

HA, Ksenia I was struggling like crazy with the lighting for these. There was a window behind me, but not a ton of light coming from it, so we had a lamp on off to the side of me. It was REALLY cramped and so I was surprised that I could save any of the pics. I struggled with the white backdrop because the lighting was so wonky, but live and learn, right?

I know what you mean. I read in a few places that portraiture with white background is some of the hardest to get right in the camera.

They look great though! Good job.

I love those first two pictures especially. The rocking chair is a fantastic prop.
